The Membrane Game™

A Shared Clarity  Experience for Modern Work

Every difficult situation leaves clues.

Stuck problems usually hide in plain sight.

Teams often know something is wrong.

They can feel the friction.

They can see the symptoms.

Yet the root cause remains difficult to identify.

The Membrane Game™ is a live interpretive experience that helps people explore real situations, identify hidden signals, and uncover the conditions shaping what they see.

It isn’t about winning.

It’s about discovering.

✓ See the situation clearly.

✓ Identify the pressure.

✓ Find the next move.

What Happens When You Play

Every game begins with a real situation.

A stalled project.

A difficult customer.

A team conflict.

A change initiative the never quite landed.

A decision everyone thought was obvious.

Players move through five lenses designed to reveal what matters most — not just what is visible.

The goal isn’t agreement.

The goal is clarity.

The Five Lenses

Every difficult situation leaves clues.

The Membrane Game™ uses five lenses to help players move from observation to action.

Signal

What are we seeing?

Every situation reveals signals.

The first step is learning to notice them — not conclusions, not opinions, just the facts, patterns, behaviors, and observations already present.

Drift

What changed?

Problems rarely appear all at once. Drift helps players identify where movement began and what shifted over time.

Meaning

What do we think is happening?

People interpret the same situation differently.

Meaning explores the stories, assumptions, and explanations attached to what we see.

Authority

Why do we believe this?

Beliefs do not appear from nowhere. Authority explores the experiences, systems, traditions, and voices influencing our interpretation.

Repair

What small move can we make now?

Repair focuses on progress — not perfection, not grand solutions, just one meaningful move worth testing.

What Players Discover

Better Questions

Learn how to identify the signals hidden inside complicated situations.

Deeper Understanding

Separate symptoms from causes.

Practical Movement

Leave with one small action worth testing immediately.

Shared Clarity

Build a common interpretation of what is actually happening.

New Language

Learn to describe difficult situations in ways that make them easier to understand, discuss, and act on.

Signal.

Drift.

Meaning.

Authority.

Repair.

Once people have the language, they start seeing the patterns everywhere.

Beyond the Game

The Membrane Game™ begins at the table.

Where it goes next is still being written.

What starts as a guided clarity session often becomes a different kind of conversation — in meetings, projects, leadership discussions, customer situations, and everyday decisions.

Players leave with new questions.

New language.

New ways of seeing familiar problems.

The game ends.

The interpretation continues.

The situation changes.

The questions travel with you.

Play the Game — Live Beta

Team Beta Sessions (Now in Testing)

Early access for teams. Enterprise version coming soon.

The Membrane Game is currently in its live beta phase — offered to select teams who want to experience the framework together. Each session is designed for collaborative clarity, not competition — no right answers, just shared insight.

These beta sessions help us refine the mechanics before the Membrane Game becomes a full enterprise offering. If your team would like to participate in testing, contact Daniel R. Therriault directly to schedule a private Zoom session.
